You Need to See This Awesome São Paulo Street Art.
Deco Farkas a.k.a Treco began painting in the streets of São Paulo six years ago. He has lived in the city all his life but street art allows him to access new, interesting and inspiring subjects, and in a sense to travel within the city. He cycles to his locations, piling his equipment onto the bike's carrier. It is a way of exchanging with the city, attaining something new and unexpected. Using spray paint or acrylic, Treco contributes with playful, thoughtful and rather surreal artistic interventions.

It's been three years since a group of Brazilian artists took over an abandoned state-owned building to turn it into a cultural and artistic center. They're producing all sorts of art, putting on theatre productions and even holding exhibitions in their very own gallery. But will it last much longer?

It is a sensitive time for arts in Brazil. After the tragic fire that gutted most of the collection inside the National Museum in Rio de Janeiro, Brazilians are anxious to rebuild what remains of the physical side of their cultural heritage. Hello everyone! It’s been a huge pleasure walking in São Paulo, the most Cultural City of South America, and showing all of you our wonderful streets, museums and parks.
In this video, I walk in MASP, the São Paulo Museum of Modern Art (MASP), in Paulista Aveneu, on a Friday morning, after a second lockdown in São Paulo was lifted. MASP is one of the biggest and most important museums in Latin America. Its immesurable collection displays works by artists like Picasso, Van Gogh, Rubens, Renoir, Hieronymus Bosch, also featuring paintings by renowned Brazilian modernist artists, such as Cândido Portinari, Tarsila do Amaral and Di Cavalcanti. On the day this video was filmed, MASP was featuring an exhibition of works by the French impressionist Edgar Degas (1834-1917).
It's advisable to watch this video on a TV or in a wide screen platform, which will allow viewers to notice small details.
And please, if you want to know a place in Rio or São Paulo, suggest in the comments. :D
